Opened 1 June 1783, the church is the oldest in Belfast. Designed by Roger Mulholland in a radical elliptical style. John Wesley preached from this pulpit in 1789. Thomas Andrew admired its boat-like interior and beautiful woodwork. The Ulster History Circle erected a Blue Plaque dedicated to Dr William Drennan 1784-1820, born on this site.
