During these two days more than 95 historical-cultural monuments, museums, libraries, cultural organizations will host people with notable events, all visitors will have access free of charge. Governmental and private museums, monuments, historical-cultural museum preservations will present their rich variety of events to the society (exhibitions, concerts, lectures). Monuments, which are usually closed to the public, will hold Open Door Days.
The European Heritage Days will start on September 24 with a press conference and a cultural program held in “Metsamor” Historical-Archeological Museum organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and the European Union Delegation in Armenia. At the opening event the Deputy Head of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of foreign countries in RA, heads of organizations concerned in the preservation of cultural heritage, monuments guardians are invited.
This beautiful autumn program will involve more than 100 cultural institutions, as well as some historical and cultural monuments will open their doors, such as the building of the National Assembly of Armenia, National Library, Opera and Ballet National Academic Theater of Armenia, Observatory building, Armenian Brandy Factory etc.
